SHAI — Seattle Human-AI Collective

Active

Where the AI conversation happens in person

SHAI is a community-driven collective in Seattle that hosts biweekly in-person meetups exploring what AI means for us — not as a technology sector, but as a species. The website features animated physarum backgrounds, event management with Eventbrite integration, founder profiles, and reading lists that connect AI discourse to broader cultural themes. Co-founded with Shreyans Khunteta and Lidia Ochoa.

// WHY THIS EXISTS

The most important conversations about AI aren't happening in boardrooms or on Twitter. They're happening when curious people sit across from each other, share a coffee, and ask: what does this mean for us? SHAI creates that space — biweekly gatherings in Seattle where philosophy, technology, and design collide.

// WHAT WE DO

  • Biweekly discussion-based meetups at Stoup Brewing, Capitol Hill
  • Curated reading lists connecting AI to literature, philosophy, and culture
  • Three co-founders with complementary expertise: engineering, UX design, and education
  • Open collective model — anyone can join, participate, and shape the conversation
